What started out as a fast food run for two Savannah State University students, turned into quite a night.
Stanley Douglas' car burst into flames after another car rear ended them at the intersection of Abercorn and Derenne around nine Sunday night.
The impact pushed Douglas' car into the car in front of him. He and his friend, Simeo, jumped out in time then ran ahead to make sure those people were okay.
Simeo literally took matters into his own hands to get a baby in the back seat out, punching the window out to save the child.
The baby's family has extended their gratitude to the two students who helped them.
The people in the car behind Douglas are facing charges.
