Firefighters Battle Blaze In Daytona Beach

Firefighters said they aren't certain whether the business was still operating.

Fire investigators are working to determine what sparked a huge blaze at a building in Daytona Beach Monday.

It happened just after 6 a.m. on Mary McLeod Boulevard and Seagrave Street, WESH 2 News reported.

Firefighters had to battle heavy flames and thick black smoke. The building used to be a consignment shop, but firefighters said they aren't certain whether the business was still operating.

They do know strong winds made it difficult to extinguish the fire. No one was injured in the blaze, but the two-story building was destroyed.
