On April 16, 2007, just after 6:00 AM, Prince William County VA fire and rescue units were dispatched to a house fire. Six minutes after arriving on the scene, conditions suddenly changed within the structure and the first call of MAYDAY occurred. The result was the line of duty death of Kyle Wilson. What happened? Battalion Chief Jennie L. Collins and Assistant Chief Brett Bowman, Prince William County, VA will present.
Roadway Scene Awareness: "Code 200 - Medics Down, Firefighters Down."
Texas Paramedic Selena Schmidt will discuss the tragic experience that occurred when she and her entire crew were struck on scene while treating patients on a Texas roadway.
"16 Life Safety Initiatives." Chief Ron Siarnicki will reinforce the National Fallen Firefighters' initiatives.
