Pennsylvania Firefighter Hurt at Three-Alarmer

A firefighter was temporarily trapped after he fell through the first floor and into the basement during a three-alarm house fire in the small Lehigh Valley town of Fountain Hill early Monday morning. The elderly woman who lived in the Hoffert Street home died during the fire. View Images The unidentified firefighter who fell through the floor was uninjured and returned to the scene to help after getting checked out, according to fire officials. Investigators said the fire that broke out just after midnight early Monday morning did not appear to be suspicious, but the fire marshal was still on the scene and did not release the cause of the fire. The blaze ate through the home located on the 700 block of Hoffert Street in Fountain Hill, a small town in the Allentown-Bethlehem area.
