Woman Charged in Deadly Alabama Fire

The woman also charged with arson in connection with an October 9th blaze that resulted in the death of a man.

CENTREVILLE, Ala. --

A Bibb County woman is in jail after being charged with capital murder for setting a fire last month that killed a West Blocton man.

State Fire Marshal Ed Paulk said in a statement that Wanda Shadrick was also charged with arson in connection with an October 9th blaze that resulted in the death of David Leonard White.

Paulk said Shadrick is being held in the Bibb County Jail in Centreville. He said a bond hearing is pending and additional charges may be filed.
