A former Hanahan firefighter has been fined $200 after he and his then-girlfriend had sex in a large house that was under construction.
Twenty-five-year-old Paul Joseph Sloan pleaded guilty yesterday to a single charge of unlawful entry into an enclosed place.
Police arrested the two in September while investigating a suspicious fire in the home two days after the tryst. Sloan told police they would find his DNA in the house because the couple had sex there.
The investigating officer says Sloan said he wanted to be the first one to have sex "in the mansion."
Twenty-year-old Courtney Michelle King of Summerville will appear in court later.
The couple was originally charged with burglary.
Sloan had been a firefighter for six years.
