The leader of a group opposed to building an $80 million riverboat casino claims that pictures of Riverside firefighters for promotional ads were illegally used.

RIVERSIDE -- The leader of a group opposed to building an $80 million riverboat casino here filed a complaint with the state Friday saying a casino political action committee illegally used pictures of Riverside firefighters and trucks for promotional ads.

However, officials with the Iowa Ethics and Campaign Disclosure Board said the matter will not be reviewed until after Washington County voters go the polls Aug. 31 to decide the casino's fate.

Brad Franzwa, chairman of Communities Against River Expansion, claims Washington County Citizens for Good Jobs sent out mailings in favor of the proposed casino featuring Riverside volunteer firefighters and a fire truck.
