(New York -WABC, February 4, 2005 ) -- Fifteen people in Soho couldn't spend the night at home because of a manhole fire.
Witnesses say it broke out around 1:00 a.m. Friday at 281 Lafayette Street in Manhattan between Prince and Houston streets.
Firefighters ordered everyone out of that building when they found elevated levels of carbon monoxide, as a result of the fire.
There's no word yet on what caused the fire.
