Three empty multi-family downtown homes targeted for the wrecking ball are being eyed by the Bayonne Fire Department as temporary training sites.

The buildings, on Avenue C near Andrew Street, are owned by the Bayonne Housing Authority, which has received approvals from the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development to knock down the buildings and the BHA plans to build new homes on the site.
