St. Louis House Fire Kills Child

Investigators believe the fire is accidental. But they say seven children from ages one to 14-years-old were inside without adult supervision.
Two children remain hospitalized Monday after a weekend fire in north st. Louis.

Meanwhile detectives on are investigating a fatal house fire that claimed the life of 5-year-old William Pullum of St. Louis on Saturday.

Investigators believe the fire is accidental. But they say seven children from ages one to 14-years-old were inside without adult supervision.

Pullum and his 10-year-old brother, Kendrick Moore, were spending the night with relatives at the time of the fire. Kendrick and a 1-year-old girl remain hospitalized in serious condition. Another child who had been hospitalized was released.

The 27-year-old mother of two of the surviving children told police she worked a double shift, stopped home to see the children in the early morning and left when a neighbor arrived to look after them. Authorities are looking into that account.
