    Purvis resident Larry Boyles has only been a Lamar County volunteer firefighter for a little more than two years and has already made such an impression on the county's residents that he was voted the 2003 Lamar County Volunteer Firefighter of the Year. He is currently serving as a volunteer firefighter with the Purvis and Pine Ridge Departments
