It looks like the hot budget battle between Buffalo Mayor Anthony Masiello and the Firefighters Union is over.
It looks like the hot budget battle between Buffalo Mayor Anthony Masiello and the Firefighters Union is over.

After days of squabbling, the Union has agreed to the health package the Mayor offered up in May. If the 2 sides hadn't come together, layoffs and firehouse closings would've helped close a multi-million dollar budget gap instead.

The agreement still has to be ratified by the Firefighters Union and the Common Council before it goes to the Control Board.
