Quebec Firefighter Ejected, Killed in Crash While Responding

A firefighter was killed early Friday morning when the fire truck he was travelling in collided with a sports utility vehicle

Serge Poirier was on his way to fight a major fire at a chicken farm in St-Albert-de-Warwick, Que. when the accident occurred.

The father of three was thrown through the windshield, and ended up pinned under the fire truck when it came to a halt.
