Feb. 09--Firefighters are on the scene of an equipment fire at Green Star Recycling plant in Northampton.
Firefighters from multiple departments have responded to what has been reported as an industrial working fire. No injuries have been reported.
According to emergency radio dispatches, the fire is to the rear of the property in the bag house, which houses an industrial dust collector.
Heavy smoke is reportedly showing from the property located in an industrial area to the rear of the Northampton Area School District's stadium.
According to Greenstar's website, the company sorts flint, amber and green glass for recycling and manufactures glass beads from window glass used in making reflective road paint.
