BALTIMORE – There’s still time to get in on Super Saturday activities at Firehouse Expo.
The show floor with numerous vendors demonstrating the latest tools and equipment as well as apparatus is open from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
At 2:30 p.m., you’ll want to be at Firehouse Booth 1031 for the drawing for the Harley-Davidson motorcycle. You must be present to win!

But, don’t go home after the exhibit hall closes. This year there’s still more to do!
Head down to the Inner Harbor for a free concert by Sons of Pirates, who will play the music of Jimmy Buffett, the Beach Boys and others. Also, the swift water team of the Baltimore Fire Department will be conducting a deep water rescue demonstration.

Some faithful attendees say Firehouse Expo is always on their agenda.
Mark Kissinger, a firefighter for Hershey Chocolate, said he’s been attending classes at the annual summer event for many years. “They used to pay for a couple of us to come down. Even after that stopped, I take vacation days to come down.”
Kissinger said he enjoys the networking and catching up with friends as well as checking out new gadgets.
“I get information on equipment, and let them scan my badge so I get on their list,” he added.
Dorothy Hudson isn’t a firefighter or involved in EMS, but identified herself as “an interested tagalong.”
She comes with her husband, Darrell Hudson, training officer for Dale City Fire Department in Virginia.
After watching a demonstration of an entry tool, Hudson asked the vendor several questions before getting some brochures. “I like looking at all this stuff, and how it works…”
He also signed up three other members of the department for training classes. ‘This is such a good opportunity.”
Branchville Fire Chief Rick Leizear said he also takes time from his busy schedule to get to Baltimore for the show. “I like it all,” he said.
