Art Jimenez a firefighter with the Los Angeles County Fire Department was the big winner of the Harley Davidson motorcycle at this year’s Firehouse World conference and exhibition in San Diego on Thursday.

Jimenez, who has attended Firehouse Expo for many years, said winning the brand new jet black bike was a total surprise.

“It’s totally unexpected,” Jimenez said. “We just came down here for a day trip at the last minute.”

The Harley give away was sponsored by Unication, the makers of a new voice paging device that is the fire service’s first submersible voice pager.

Unication also gave away two voice pagers just before awarding the Harley.
