The Louisville Division of Fire announced that Firefighter Sean McAdam has died in the line of duty to a medical related event on March 11, 2022.
McAdam joined the fire department in March of 2002 and spent his entire career working in specialty rescue companies, including Engine 2/Truck 1 Downtown and Quint 7.
McAdam received numerous awards for courage and bravery throughout his career, including the Division’s Medal of Valor, and three Unit Citations, the department said in a Facebook post.
“This is a terribly sad time for the Louisville Division of Fire,” the department said in a statement. “The Division expresses our deepest condolences to the McAdam family and his many friends.”
