Emergency personnel in Grant County are mourning the loss of a Cliff Gila firefighter/EMT who collapsed while responding to a call.
Firefighter/EMT Brittany Hathaway suffered a medical emergency as she prepared to respond to an EMS call last Tuesday, Cliff Gila Fire Department officials announced on Facebook.
She was taken to a local hospital and then flown to a specialty care center in El Paso where she died on Thursday.
Hathaway worked at Central Dispatch in Grant County and as an EMT with Gila Regional EMS.
