Fort Worth firefighters found smoke and fire from the roof of the Main Event business.

A police officer spotted a fire on the roof of family entertainment facility in Fort Worth early on Jan. 17.

Fort Worth crews found smoke coming from the roof of Main Event, a large one-story building on City Lake Boulevard when they arrived around 4:30 a.m. The building is home to a bowling alley, arcade, restaurant and other family activities. 

Companies placed portable ladders and an aerial ladder to the roof of the building as the rooftop HVAC unit burned. 

The fire was knocked down in 20 minutes.

Crews worked on the interior of the building to remove smoke and water.

Two additional engine companies were called to the scene to assist with water removal and crew remained on scene for several hours.
