ALL members will have the opportunity to perform ALL of the following tasks AND MORE:
• Conventionally force inward opening doors using the “irons” at varying degrees of difficulty
• Conventionally force outward opening doors using the “irons”
• Force a simulated door from the “hinged-side” using the “irons”
• Force padlocks using a Duck-bill Lock-breaker, and the “irons”
• Force a “Chinese” padlock using a screwdriver
• Cut a padlock with a power saw
• Perform at least 10 cuts with a power saw of various heights & saw orientation to simulate the removal of window bars
• Cut a simulated American Series 2000 padlock with a power-saw
• Pull several lock cylinders using the “irons”, a “K-Tool”, and/or a “Rex-Tool”
• Receive ample hands-on time using through-the-lock techniques to manipulate hundreds of locks on display
• Participate in a 2-hour lecture/discussion pertaining to tools and forcible entry size- up

• Five alternate slots will be filled per training session.
• You will be notified of your status (alternate or confirmed).
• Alternate slots will be fully refunded if they are not called to attend.
• This class will be filled on a first-come/first-serve basis.
• Please fill out all forms entirely INCLUDING email address. Class updates and reminders will be sent via email. Copies of this flier, forms and information sheet are available for download on our website.
• Please legibly PRINT your name as you would like it to appear on your Certificate of Attendance.
• Payment in FULL, the signed Waiver of Liability and the signed Registration & Cancellation Policy from you or your Fire Chief/Training Officer must be received no later than February 28th, 2010. Failure to return either by this date will result in your seat being filled by an alternate and you will be unable to participate (tuition will be refunded).
• All participants MUST BRING full PPE:
• NFPA compliant bunker gear, boots, helmet, gloves, hood and approved eye protection. (No SCBA needed for this class).
• Failure to bring appropriate PPE will result in a forfeit of your seat. Since this qualifies as a last- minute cancellation, your tuition will not be refunded.

The Avalon Fire Department has been kind enough to provide facilities, but all questions regarding payment, content, etc... should be directed to Nate DeMarse at Brotherhood Instructors, LLC at the contact information provided throughout this flier.
