Lafayette Township traveled to the Erie International Airport for aircraft fire/rescue training.

Members of Lafayette Township traveled to the Erie International Airport on May 8 for aircraft fire/rescue training.

Six firefighters made the two hour journey for a class put on by West Virginia University's Mobile ARFF Trainer.

Lafayette Township is first due to the Bradford Regional Airport for all incidents since the facility does not have a fire department.

They trained on fuel fires as well as hose advancement for compartment fires within the plane itself.

The training simulator provided a great experience had a good time learning the most current techniques to handle situations.
