Providence, RI, Firefighters Rescue Kids from House Fire

The two children found unresponsive by Providence crews were transported to Hasbro Children's Hospital.

Firefighters rescued two young children from a burning Providence home Monday evening. 

Crews found the two unconscious on the second floor, Providence Battalion Fire Chief Mark Randall told WPVI. 

Both were rushed to Hasbro Children’s Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and are expected to be OK.

The fire that claimed the family's pets is under investigation.
