A person perished in a house fire Wednesday morning.
The victim was found on the first floor of the house, while two other residents managed to get out safely, WPRI reported.
A witness, Malcolm Freels told a reporter: “My brother broke the window, I took off my hoodie and tried to jump through the window to save her. It started from the third floor down. I jumped through the window and I heard her voice saying, ‘Help me, help me,’ but the flames were too strong.”
