Firefighters battled a 3-alarm blaze at a St. Pete Beach shopping center on Tuesday.
Crews were called about 2:45 p.m. to 4685 Gulf Blvd., which is the CVS store in the Dolphin Village shopping center, according to Pinellas County’s active 911 call page. The page showed more than 40 units responded to the fire Tuesday afternoon.
Reports on Tuesday night, including this from Spectrum Bay News 9, said that the fire had “reignited” and spread to other businesses, including a Publix. The active 911 call page showed about 25 units on the scene at 10 p.m. Tuesday. There were still about a half-dozen units on the scene Wednesday morning.
Pinellas deputies were at the scene Tuesday afternoon assisting St. Pete Beach Fire Rescue crews, a spokesperson for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said. The spokesperson said the fire involved the CVS store and that no injuries had been reported but referred the Tampa Bay Times to fire officials for more information.
