MI Crews Battle Xmas Night Warehouse Fire for 12 Hours

More than 40 Dearborn firefighters worked from Wednesday night and into late Thursday morning to put out the blaze that broke out in a 40,000-square-foot warehouse.

DEARBORN, MI – A huge fire broke out at a Dearborn warehouse on Christmas, requiring firefighters to work through Wednesday night and into Thursday to contain it.

The 40,000-square-foot warehouse near Chase Road and Warren Avenue in Dearborn stores items for a local gas station, ClickOnDetroit reports. Firefighters began battling the flames there around 10 p.m. on Christmas.

The cause of the fire has not been determined. It remains under investigation. The Michigan State Police Arson Unit could be asked to assist in the investigation, local police said.
