More than 60 firefighters were called in early Monday to battle a fire in an abandoned home in Downtown Jacksonville, according to Jacksonville Fire and Rescue.

The fire in the home, just a block west of St. Johns Cathedral in the 200 block of East Duval Street, was reported just after 2:30 a.m., fire officials said. When firefighters arrived, flames were shooting through the roof of the building and a second alarm was called, fire officials told news partner First Coast News.

It took about 45 minutes for firefighters to get the blaze under control, and the fire marshal's office has been called in, fie officials said.

No one was injured.

Fire officials said there were signs that squatters were living inside the home.
