May 14, 2020
San Antonio crews saw heavy flames coming from the rear of the house when they arrived Thursday and were able to pull an individual who was trapped inside.

One person was hospitalized after being rescued from a burning house early Thursday morning, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.

Crews arrived to the 1900 block of Nolan Street at around 5:30 a.m. to the scene of heavy fire coming from the back of a residence. Once on scene, firefighters were informed that there was still a person inside, said SAFD spokesman Joe Arrington.

Firefighters rescued the individual, who was then transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

It took them just over an hour to get the blaze under control, Arrington said.

The house sustained extensive damage and neighboring structures received minor damage.

Investigators with the arson division are investigating.
