Video: Exposure Destroys TX Aerial at 3-Alarm Blaze

Some residents were asked to shelter-in-place as Houston crews battled a massive blaze that erupted at a cosmetics warehouse and partially collapsed the facility.

Houston firefighters battled a 3-alarm fire that partially collapsed a warehouse on Westpark and Hillcroft, according to the Houston Fire Department.

The fire department responded to the blaze at 7830 Westpark around 10:30 a.m. Friday. The building houses the cosmetic supplier Salon and Spa Wholesaler and was the site of blue runoff as firefighters tried to put out the blaze.

A an aerial ladder was also destroyed from exposure to the warehouse, firefighters said.

Preliminary air quality is good, according to Chief Sam Pena, but tests are ongoing.

Residents at 3737 Hillcroft have been asked to shelter-in-place, as well as people within the north boundary of Westheimer, east boundary of Hillcroft, south boundary of Harwin and west boundary of Gessner.

No injuries have been reported.
