NY Firefighters Put Out Blaze that Fully Engulfs House

The occupants of a Syracuse home were able safely escape the residence as flames shot through the roof and engulfed the residence Friday night.

SYRACUSE, NYA house in the 1400 block of Butternut Street became fully engulfed in flames on Friday night, though everyone was able to get out of the house.

The fire was called in to Onondaga County 9-1-1 dispatch at 9 p.m., according to dispatch logs. When firefighters arrived to the house at 1400 Butternut Street, between Butternut’s intersection with Warham Street and Saile Street, it was fully engulfed in flames.

Flames were through the roof of the house, first responders told dispatchers.

Everyone in the house at the time of the fire was able to get out of the house, according to scanner reports.
