Seven FDNY Firefighters Injured Battling Massive House Blaze

Seven FDNY firefighters were injured battling a massive blaze that tore through a Staten Island house early Friday.

A two-story home caught fire at about 3 a.m. in the Great Kills section of Staten Island, WPIX-TV reports. More than 130 firefighters from 33 units responded to the call, and video from the scene posted to Citizen App showed flames erupting through the rstructure's oof.

Seven firefighters were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Four people were inside the home when it caught fire, and they were able to safely escape.

Crews worked at the scene for about two hours, and the fire was under control shortly before 5 a.m. The cause of the blaze is under investigation
