Video: Three FDNY Firefighters Injured in 3-Alarm Blaze

Nearly 140 FDNY firefighters and EMS workers responded to the large blaze that broke out in Manhattan, and crews needed around two hours to get the flames under control.

Three FDNY firefighters were injured during a three-alarm blaze in Manhattan early Thursday.

The fire broke out at around 12:15 a.m. in a building in the Chinatown neighborhood, AM New York reports. Video posted to Citizen.com shows flames shooting through the roof of the building, which houses a bakery on the first floor and apartments on the upper stories.

Nearly 140 firefighters and EMS workers responded to the blaze, according to AM New York. Three firefighters suffered minor injuries battling the blaze, and they were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Crews were able to get the fire contained shortly after 2 a.m. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
