AL Firefighter Injured as Nearly Dozen FDs Face Residential Fire

Multiple crews from Colbert and Lawrence counties faced snow flurries and cold temperatures as they tackled a fire at a three-story home in Muscle Shoals.

Nearly a dozen Alabama departments responded to a residential fire that injured a firefighter Monday.

The fire broke out shortly before 9 a.m. at a three-story house in Muscle Shoals, WAAY-TV reports. Along with the Muscle Shoals firefighters, eight crews from Colbert County and three crews from Lawrence County also were at the scene, and they faced snow flurries and frigid temperatures.

A firefighter was injured battling the fire and was taken to the hospital. No details were released concerning the extent and nature of the injury.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
