MA Firefighter Injured in Residential Fire

One Springfield firefighter was taken to the hospital as crews encountered flames coming from a house that caught fire, displacing two people.

A Massachusetts firefighter was injured during a house fire that displaced three people early Thursday.

The fire broke out at about 3 a.m. at a house in Springfield, WWLP-TV reports. When crews arrived, they encountered flames shooting from the home.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
