Three New Jersey firefighters were injured battling a three-alarm fire that destroyed a restaurant early Tuesday.
Flanders Fire Department crews responded to a gas-fed fire at LongHorn Steakhouse in Mount Olive shortly after midnight, News 12 reports. Firefighters from Budd Lake and other surrounding departments also helped tackle the fire, according to an online update by Mount Olive Township fire marshal.
“I initially had interior attack crews inside the structure, and then I pulled them all out based on the fire transitioning to a gas-driven fire,” Flanders Fire Chief Tyler Wargo told News 12.

Three Flanders firefighters suffered injuries while working to extinguish flames and burst through the roof and engulfed the restaurant. The firefighters' injuries were minor, and they are expected to recover, Wargo added.
Crews put in "incredible efforts" to get the flames under control and save the restaurant, the fire marshal's online update stated. But that wasn't enough.

"Unfortunately the fire at the LongHorn Steak House could not be brought under control, and the building had to be demolished due to the extensive damage," the fire marshal's online update stated.
No civilian injuries were reported. The Morris County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the cause of the fire, according to News 12.
