Two Phoenix Firefighters Burned During House Fire

Two firefighters were taken to the hospital in stable condition after battling a residential fire, and crews were able to keep a fire from spreading throughout the home.

Two Phoenix firefighters were injured battling a residential fire Sunday.

The fire broke out at a home shortly before 10:30 a.m., KNXV-TV reports. When crews reached the scene and entered the house, they encountered large flames and intense heat but were able to keep the fire from spreading throughout the residence.

During the call, two firefighters suffered burns to their ears and hands. They were brought to the hospital in stable condition.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and no one else was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
