Watch Violent Explosion after TX Fuel Tanker Catches Fire
A massive explosion was captured on video after a fuel tanker caught fire in Texas over the weekend.
The tanker, which was owned by a harvester, began burning after it started leaking fuel near Crowell on Sunday, WFAA-TV reports. The flames then sparked an explosion, and in a bystander's video posted online by the Crowell Fire Department, the fuel tank can be seen hurtling away from the fire close to the ground.
The tanker's driver and two volunteer firefighters were injured during the call, said Foard County Sheriff Mike Brown. The injuries were considered minor, he added.
According to KAUZ-TV, Crowell Fire Chief Perry Shaw said several people had suffered mostly minor injuries in the incident, but one person suffered second-degree burns and was taken to a Lubbock burn unit.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
