Firefighters battled a large fire involving a semi-tanker carrying jet fuel that exploded and caught fire at a fueling terminal in Fort Worth.
Crews were called to the west end of the Flint Hills Resources fuel terminal, along the 12500 block of Trinity Boulevard Wednesday morning for the blaze according to 5 NBC DFW.
The truck’s driver and passenger evacuated before the truck exploded and there were no significant injuries to report, Flint Hills Resources said in a statement.
The fire and explosion destroyed the tanker truck. Company officials said the terminal will stay closed until the can resume operations safely.
