Newark firefighters battled fire in multiple homes early Tuesday morning.
Newark firefighters responded to a three-story home well involved on the 200 block of Fairmount Avenue. The fire was so intense it spread to both adjacent homes.
PIX11 reported the fire rose to three-alarms and firefighters utilized multiple handlines and aerial ladder waterways were used to control the fire as it encompassed all three homes.
The roof of the main fire building ended up collapsing as it was consumed by fire.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury.
The fire displaced 25 people, including 18 adults and seven children.
