Firefighters from Glendale and Phoenix battled a fire in a strip mall that injured three people and damaged multiple businesses Wednesday night.
Firefighters were called to the area of 67th Avenue and Camelback Road after callers reported hearing a loud bang and seeing black smoke, according to a Facebook post by the Glendale Fire Department.
Heavy fire conditions and smoke conditions were intensified by heavy winds forcing crews to battle the flames defensively, firefighters were able to contain the fire to six units.
One person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries while two others were treated on scene but declined further treatment or transport to the hospital.
