San Antonio firefighters arrived to Signs Channel Letters at 1322 Culebra Road around 3:52 a.m. to find the top of the sign shop building engulfed in flames, according to the incident commander on the scene. The fire is believed to have started in the back of the building and then spread into the attic.
KSAT 12 reported that here are two spaces in the building but the sign store was the only tenant. Firefighters had a difficult time getting into the building to attack the fire.
At one point, the San Antonio Fire Department was worried about the fire spreading to neighboring businesses, as well as the homes behind the store.
No one was reported to be inside the building.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
