Multiple Westchester County fire departments battled fire at the abandoned Elda Castle, once owned by the Abercrombie family.

Firefighters were called to the castle, located on Croton Dam Road, late Sunday night for a reported structure fire.

Crews arrived to fire showing on multiple floors of a castle-like structure set well back off the road, according to a Facebook post by Millwood Fire Department.

Due to access issues, a mini-attack rig was brought in for fire control, and a tender operation was established for a water supply.

Firefighters deployed multiple handlines and a Blitz nozzle to control the fire, spending more than three hours battling the fire.
