Tucson and Rural Metro fire crews battled a brush fire fed by strong winds that spread to a nearby dwelling.
Firefighters were dispatched to the 5300 block of S. Lansing Stravenue for a reported brush fire with possible extension into a dwelling.
When Tucson crews arrived, Rural Metro crews were working the brush fire. Tucson Engine 10 deployed handlines to the dwelling for fire attack, according to a tweet by the Tucson Fire Department.
As crews worked to control the fire, companies performed vertical ventilation to help release the products of combustion from the attic space.
The fire was controlled in less than an hour, one occupant from the dwelling was displaced.
