TX Firefighters Respond to Transformer Blast

Flames and black smoke could be seen for miles after a transformer explosion caused by a mineral oil fire Tuesday afternoon at a CenterPoint Energy facility in Texas City.

Mineral oil is sometimes used to insulate electrical equipment, and firefighters had to wait for it to burn out.
