A San Antonio firefighter suffered an ankle injury while battling a blaze Sunday at a vacant house.
The fire broke out at an empty structure on the city's north side, and it was a heavily involved blaze when crews arrived at the scene, KSAT-TV reports. Extra clutter in the house acted as fuel, causing more than $30,000 worth of damage.
"One of the challenges with any vacant properties is it lends itself to access to other people coming in and unfortunately doing mischief or whatever," San Antonio Fire Department spokesman Neal Ague told KSAT.
