DE Firefighter Burned in Apartment Blaze

A Mill Creek Fire Company firefighter was hospitalized with second-degree burns battling the blaze, which caused more than $1 million in damage.

A Delaware firefighter was hospitalized after battling an apartment blaze that caused more than $1 million damage Wednesday.

Mill Creek Fire Company crews responded to the fire at a Wilmington apartment complex at about 11:30 a.m., KYW-TV reports. The blaze damaged 12 units in the building.

A firefighter suffered second-degree burns on his neck in the blaze and was taken to a local hospital, KYW added.
