A firefighter was injured battling a Delaware house blaze that killed one person early Wednesday.

The fire broke out at a home in the Chelsea Estates neighborhood of Wilmington Manor, KYW-TV reports.

Four people were inside the burning house, and two adults and a child were able to escape the flames on their own. Firefighters were able to pull out a final person from the house, but he was later pronounced dead at the hospital, according to KYW.

During the blaze, a firefighter suffered minor burns to his leg but was in good condition. Flames from the initial fire also damaged houses on either side, KYW added.
