An Oklahoma firefighter's house caught fire following a lightning strike Friday.
The blaze broke out at about 10:45 a.m. after lightning struck a home in Verdigris, KOKI-TV reports. Tulsa firefighter Greg Delozier had lived in the house for more than 30 years.
Delozier told KOKI that he was sitting in his recliner when he heard boom. It was 15 minutes later when the lights inside the house began to flicker.
Eventually, Delozier saw smoke coming his kitchen ceiling lights. He then looked outside to find flames at the home's east side.
The fire destroyed most of the roof, and Delozier told KOKI that the house was a total loss. Firefighters from Verdigris, Catoosa, Limestone and Rolling Hills were able to extinguish the blaze.
