TN Firefighter Injured in Blaze that Destroys House, Vehicle

A Johnson City firefighter suffered minor injures battling a blaze that erupted at a home, spreading to a nearby vehicle and generating heat that melted the siding on a neighboring house.

A Tennessee firefighter was injured in a house blaze Monday.

The fire broke out shortly after 7:45 a.m. at a Johnson City home, WJHL-TV reports. Flames destroyed the residence and a vehicle, while the heat from the fire melted the exterior siding on a nearby house. 

A Johnson City firefighter suffered minor injuries battling the blaze. Details concerning how the firefighter was injured were not released.

Crews were able to eventually get the fire under control by about 10:15 a.m., according to WJHL.
