A Baltimore City firefighter was injured battling a blaze that broke out at a vacant row house Thursday.

Crews responded to the residential fire on the city's west side, WJZ-TV reports. Once at the scene, firefighters saw smoke pouring from the roof of the row house, and flames were tearing through the residence's second floor.

No details were given on how the firefighter was hurt or the extent of the injuries. The first responder is expected to recover, according to WJZ.
