Two MA Firefighters Injured Extinguishing Basement Blaze

Greenfield firefighters, along with crews from South Deerfield and Turners Falls fire departments, quickly put out a blaze that broke out in a house's basement.

Two Massachusetts firefighters were injured while tackling a residential blaze Monday.

The fire broke out in the basement in a home in Greenfield, WWLP-TV reports. Crews were able to extingush the flames quickly after arrival.

During the blaze, two firefighters suffered minor injuries. They were taken to the hospital, but details about their injuries were not released.

Greenfield firefighters were assisted by crews from South Deerfield and Turners Falls fire departments, according to WWLP. Fire and police officials are investigating the blaze.
